That doesn’t mean you can not choose other seasons i.e. Winter and Monsoon, but Autumn and Spring are the most popular season of the year.

The brief explanation of each season is given below:

Autumn (September, October, and November)

These months are the time of the year when the Autumn season begins and ends. The routes are crowded with trekkers throughout the region. It is peak time for Langtang Valley Trek.

Autumn season is when nature is at its uttermost beauty, paths covered with already bloomed flowers making the walk quite amazing. Also, the skies are clear making the views of mountains quite memorable.

The temperature also ranges from 10 degrees to 15 degrees during this season. The weather and temperature both are at its best. But these months are when you will have less to no privacy in the route.

Winter (December, January, and February)

These months are the time of the year when the Winter season begins and ends. This is the off-season time for trekking on these routes.

It is the coldest time of the year when heavy snowfall can block the paths in higher altitudes. During these months, the routes are less crowded making it a peaceful walk watching the scenic views.

The skies are clear but the temperature ranges below the freezing point. It is warm during the day but as nightfalls, it gets freezing cold. So while trekking in this season carry clothes that keep you warm throughout the trek.

Spring Season (March, April, and May)

These months are the time of the year when the Spring season begins and ends. This is another peak season of the year when the routes are crowded with nature lovers.

During these months, the forest paths are filled with a bud of flowers ready to sprout. And the days are warm and sunny making walk-in higher altitude quite easy.

As you look around, you can see the lush green forests and beautiful landscapes throughout the trails. Also, the clear visible view of mountain tops looks quite mesmerizing.

The temperature ranges from 10 degrees to 15 degrees this time of the year. You don’t have to worry about snow and rainfall during these months.

Monsoon (June, July, and August)

These months are the time of the year when Monsoon season begins and ends. This season is the least preferred time of the year.

These months are the time for heavy rainfall in lower altitudes making the paths slippery and muddy. Also, landslides and floods can be an obstacle in your trek. So be careful while trekking during this time of the year

However, there are fewer chances of rainfall occurrence at higher altitudes. But the rain cloud covers the beauty of the mountains and valleys which can be displeasing.

But during this season, you get to see unique types of flora and fauna blooming in the forest. Many researchers visit these routes in these months.

So if you are planning your Langtang Trek during these months don’t forget to carry raincoats. And the walks can be thrilling and challenging so walk slowly.
