“If you are thinking of doing the Manaslu Circuit, do yourself a favour and go with Radiant Treks.
From the very first day to the moment we staggered triumphantly over Larke La Pass, every single step of the way we felt supported, encouraged, safe and genuinely cared for.

A massive shoutout to our incredible porters, Buddhi and Gobindha, who somehow managed to carry impossible loads while still smiling and overtaking us on steep ascents as if gravity simply didn’t apply to them. Absolute legends.

Our guides, Arbindha and Ravi, were outstanding — calm, knowledgeable, endlessly patient and always quietly watching over the group to make sure everyone was coping well. Their acclimatisation plan was spot on, and thanks to their careful pacing and attention, our whole group successfully summited Larke La Pass safely.

And then there is Gorkana, who founded Radiant Treks and has clearly built a team with heart, integrity and genuine passion. You can feel his leadership in the culture of the whole company.

There were countless small acts of kindness along the way — checking oxygen levels, making sure we were warm enough, fed enough, hydrated enough and occasionally emotionally stable enough after yet another staircase masquerading as a hiking trail. 😂

The scenery in Manaslu is spectacular, but it was the people from Radiant Treks who truly made the experience unforgettable. We arrived as clients and left feeling like family.

“From the moment we were met by Gokana at the airport, to the briefing and then the whole Manaslu Circuit trek, our group of 4 (older) women could not have had a better experience. Gokana and his team’s experience in the mountains, their patience, kindness and concern for our well-being made trekking over the Larkye Pass a tough, but magical experience. Their knowledge and timing of our days and summit day according to the weather conditions ensured that we had a clear summit – perfection!
I would 100% recommend Radiant Treks – I have trekked with another company on the ABC route – but Radiant far surpasses my experience this time round.

“Radiant treks scored a definite 5/5 for every part of the trek. We had 12 days Manislu Circuit which was managed with perfect attention to detail from first contact to end of trip. All questions were answered usually within an hour even at antisocial times. We were sent a list of items to bring, lent a clean sleeping bag and down jacket at no extra charge and these were vital against the cold higher up the mountains.
Gokarna, the MD of Radiant Treks accompanied us and briefed us each evening for the following day, ensured we were well and comfortable, told us about food and what to try, and importantly knew every mountain that came in to view. His enthusiasm and love of the mountains and his country was adopted by us all. Gokarna and his porter guide set the pace which ultimately ensured we were well prepared for the Larkya pass at 5100 m, higher than any of us had previously trekked.
Manislu is a tough trek. We were all fit, had trained for duration but cannot prepare for altitude. We are in our 40’s -mid 60’s and we went at a manageable pace and took breaks where needed. We may not have been as quick as some 25 year olds but we kept to the schedule with no problem.
Our porters were delightful. Nothing was a problem or too much effort. They smiled and laughed with us, our communication was intuitive to them and they visibly loved their land despite the hardships of their job.
The tea shops were basic in general on this trip. It didn’t matter – we had 2 to a room, cold as we reached greater heights but ‘blankets’ (duvets) abundantly to keep us warm overnight. We missed hot showers- these were cold or tepid and no warm bathrooms in sight! All part of the experience and not critical.
In summary I would urge any trekker to consider this trek and choose this company. So necessary to get this right and make the most of a Nepal experience.”

“I had a great experience trekking the Manaslu circuit with my friend Isabelle and mountain guide Ambar. Radiant treks was very accomodating to accept my last minute request to join the trek and ordered my permits swiftly. We met at the office in Kathmandu and they patiently explained the details of the trek.

Our guide Ambar is a very experienced guide who has travelled all over Nepal. He was super flexible to adjust our plans according our wishes and the weather. And he helped to keep the cost low by agreeing good rates at the lodges.”

“10/10 for Gokarna and Radiant Treks, GK is the best guide you’ll find in Nepal.

From before we even stepped foot in the country, GK was there to answer any of our questions and included a in depth packing list via WhatsApp which was a huge help in preparation for the trek.

Radiant Treks had us sorted with everything we could’ve needed, from domestic flights, jeep transportation, accommodation, food and all the other things required while trekking. Nothing was ever an issue, any requests we had GK could find a way to make it work.

Radiant Treks went over and above in all areas, and provided really friendly porters, which we couldn’t have done the trip without!

Shoutout to GK, if you’re reading this and looking for a guide for any of the treks in Nepal, he’s the man. In a country with so many companies offering these services, I’m certain none could offer such a positive experience. Our guide GK became someone we would have dinner and coffee with, outside of the trek.

Overall an incredible trek, definitely hard work and you have to earn the views at the top which only makes it sweeter when you get there.

10/10 don’t even bother researching other companies if you’re looking to do a trek, Radiant Treks is all you’ll need.”

“My friends and I completed the Manaslu Circuit through Radiant Treks. GK was fast to respond to any questions our group had, making sure we were well prepared for our journey.

GK and his team were extremely knowledgeable of the mountains and culture. When the conditions turned harsh and many guides were taking their clients home GK and his team were able to carefully plan and time a safe passage for us to cross the Larkya La Pass. Helping other teams cross the pass aswell.

A special thank you to the Porters. Utam and Deb, without their incredible efforts our trip would not be possible.

“Radiant Treks was very fast to respond to my initial enquiries, and the price was the best I could find. Leading up to the trip all of the questions I had were answered within the day in full detail leaving nothing questioned when arriving in Nepal.

GK made the trek enjoyable and explained nepalise and Tibet culture within the mountains. GK made numerous phone calls throughout the trip to guest houses to preorder food and rooms so we were always catered to and never felt like we were missing anything.

We booked our Manaslu circuit trek during the off season, and towards one of our last stops of the trek GK was informed that the pass was closed and we were possibly not able to cross. Obviously we were disappointed but there’s not much we can do about the weather. GK still made several enquiries with all parties along the pass and figured out a plan to get us to complete the trek. He turned the impossible situation into one that let us finish the trek.

After the trek GK still helped us explore Nepal and organised flights, hotels and food throughout the rest of our trip. I would highly recommend GK and radiant treks to anyone with their professional service.”

“Radiant Treks and Tours planned an adventurous trek on the Manaslu Circuit. From picking up at airport through the trip and transportation back to the airport. Provided warm sleeping bags and puffer jackets. Best places selected for delicious food to fuel up on. Our guide Goku guided us safely through unexpected conditions always ensuring we were able to keep pace and that we were ok. We enjoyed getting to know about the areas, views, people, culture and enjoyed the laughter at end of each day of our journey. Goku was caring, considerate, friendly and knowledgeable. Wow! What an amazing adventure start to finish! As a solo female traveller I had my reservations when trying to book a company but the service I received with Radiant Treks was second to none! From the fast responses back and forward from Nepal to Australia , to the arrival process all the way at through to the end of the hike, no detail was missed! You could tell my guide Gokarna was very experienced on the mountain, he has great character and provided everyone (not just me) with many laughs , mystical stories of the mountains, even pointing out different native plants that can be used as food sources by local villages. I always felt very comfortable and often Gokarna went out of his way at finding me a good room with ensuite toilet where possible , was always very aware of our surroundings and made sure I was comfortable at all times! I honestly can’t recommend this company enough, I saw several other guides providing a very substandard service and I felt very sorry for the guests. I can guarantee this won’t happen with Radiant Treks ! I hiked the Tsum Valley and Manaslu circuit , so amazing!!
