The ancient palace of Patan Durbar Square features pagoda roofed palaces, medieval temples and courtyards built by the Malla Kings. It showcase exquisite Newari architecture with beautiful stone and wooden carvings.
After completing the exploration of Patan Durbar Square, we will head eastwards to sightsee Bhaktapur Durbar Square in Bhaktapur District. The premises of this old Durbar Square are packed with intricate architectural heritages from the medieval period. It is divided into Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square. Golden Gate, 55 Windows Palace, Nyatapole Temple, Vatsala Temple, Bhairav Nath Temple and Siddhinarayan Temple are significant monuments here. We will wake up early in the morning in Nagarkot and climb the Nagarkot View Tower to witness the magical sunrise over the Himalayan ranges. After breakfast in the resort, we will return to Kathmandu and set off on a long drive towards Chitwan.
