Day 1
Day 1: Kathmandu to Pokhara drive

Max Altitude: 1,400m

Drive duration: 6-7 hours

Total Distance: 200 km

Our 6 days Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek starts from Kathmandu. As we take a tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara, we will start our short trek in the Annapurna Region.

The total distance we will be covering today is 200 kilometers. The bus ride will get us to Pokhara from Kathmandu in 6-7 hours. You will be able to enjoy the bus ride comfortably enjoying the views outside.

The scenic bus ride will provide you with great landscape views and mountains as you near Pokhara. We will stop on the way for lunch and enjoy dinner at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 2
Day 2: Pokhara to Nayapul drive and Trek to Tikhedhunga

Maximum Altitude: 1,570 m

Drive Duration: 1.5 hours

Trekking Hours: 4-5 hours

Distance Covered: 52 km

With the sun up, we shall start our second day of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek 6 days. Today we shall trek to Tikhedhunga. The total distance to be traveled for the day as per our Ghorepani Poon Hill trek itinerary is 52 kilometers.

We shall travel from Pokhara to Nayapul by bus or other private vehicles. The drive is scenic and beautiful. After a 1-2 hours drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, we shall now begin our trek.

The way from Nayapul to Tikhedhunga takes around 4-5 hours of trekking. The trail is not very rough and is blessed with beautiful views of the underlying villages and terraced farms. You will cross many suspension bridges and village roads and finally reach the Tikhedhunga River Valley. You will spend the night here at a lodge or a guest house for the night.

Day 3
Day 3: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani

Trekking Hours: 6 hours

Total Distance: 12 km

We shall start our third day of the 6 days Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek with a warm breakfast. After filling ourselves, we will head towards Ghorepani. The trek to Ghorepani from Tikhedhunga takes around 6 hours. The Ghorepani trek route is a gradual climb from Tikhedhunga.

Reaching Ghorepani, you will be amazed by the captivating views of the mountains from the village. The beautiful village amongst the views of the mountains of the Annapurna and the Dhaulagiri will leave you mesmerized. We shall spend the night in a lodge or tea house in the Ghorepani Village.

Day 4
Day 4: Trek to Ghandruk via Poon Hill

Maximum Altitude: 3210 m

Trekking Hours: 7-8 hours

Total Distance: 16.6km

Today we shall trek to two of the most popular destinations in the Annapurna Region. We will leave the beautiful Ghorepani village and head to Ghandruk.

Ghandruk is a village in Kaski famous for its cultural diversity along with the beautiful views of the mountains it bestows upon you. Apart from the great views of the mountains, the village in itself is beautiful with stone houses and great cultural diversity.

However, before we reach this beautiful village, we will make a quick detour to Poon Hill. We can enjoy the sunrise view from the Poon Hill viewpoint early in the morning. The early morning sunrise view from the Poon Hill viewpoint is a blissful sight to see.

We shall have breakfast and leave for the beautiful village of Ghandruk and spend the night there.

Day 5
Day 5: Trek to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara

Maximum Altitude: 1,570 m

Drive Duration: 1.5 hours’

Trekking Hours: 4-5 hours

Distance Covered: 52 km

Now that we have visited the main destinations of our trek and had a great experience, it is time for us to return. Don’t be sad, there are still many beautiful views for you to enjoy on your way back.

We will make our way back to Nayapul first. Trekking for around 4-5 hours, we will reach Nayapul. You can enjoy lunch with the beautiful views of the mountains and the landscapes and the underlying villages.

From Nayapul, we will take a private vehicle back to Pokhara. As the ride to Pokhara will only take around 2 hours, you will have enough time to explore the nightlife of Pokhara before calling it a day.

Day 6
Day 6: Pokhara to Kathmandu Drive

Drive duration: 6-7 hours

Total Distance: 200 km

Today marks the last day of our short and easy Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek 6 days. We will take a tourist bus back to Kathmandu today and end our trek enjoying the beautiful scenery from the comfort of our bus seats.
