Flexible and personalised trekking experience
I had a great experience trekking the Manaslu circuit with my friend Isabelle and mountain guide Ambar. Radiant treks was very accomodating to accept my last minute request to join the trek and ordered my permits swiftly. We met at the office in Kathmandu and they patiently explained the details of the trek. Our guide Ambar is a very experienced guide who has travelled all over Nepal. He was super flexible to adjust our plans according our wishes and the weather. And he helped to keep the cost low by agreeing good rates at the lodges. 3 week Annapurna trek review - amazing time
A constant theme you’ll read among these reviews is that there is no need to consider other operators - and after my 3 week experience along the Annapurna circuit trek, I could not agree more! From the outset they provided comprehensive and honest information. As an inquisitive person, no question was too much, providing detailed itineraries, packing lists, and general info. Once I arrived, everything was taken care of, all I had to think about for 3 weeks was putting one foot in front of the other. My guide Soobar and Porter Tulasee were exceptional, both knowledgeable and genuinely wanted my experience to be the best. While on trek they ensured each accomodation was suitable and comfortable, and were happy to alter the itinerary to suit the conditions and walking pace. During the trek GK back in Kathmandu would check in with both me and the guide to ensure the trip was running smoothly. Radiant Treks, best in Nepal
10/10 for Gokarna and Radiant Treks, GK is the best guide you’ll find in Nepal. From before we even stepped foot in the country, GK was there to answer any of our questions and included a in depth packing list via WhatsApp which was a huge help in preparation for the trek. Radiant Treks had us sorted with everything we could’ve needed, from domestic flights, jeep transportation, accommodation, food and all the other things required while trekking. Nothing was ever an issue, any requests we had GK could find a way to make it work. Radiant Treks went over and above in all areas, and provided really friendly porters, which we couldn’t have done the trip without! Shoutout to GK, if you’re reading this and looking for a guide for any of the treks in Nepal, he’s the man. In a country with so many companies offering these services, I’m certain none could offer such a positive experience. Our guide GK became someone we would have dinner and coffee with, outside of the trek. Incredible team
My friends and I completed the Manaslu Circuit through Radiant Treks. GK was fast to respond to any questions our group had, making sure we were well prepared for our journey. GK and his team were extremely knowledgeable of the mountains and culture. When the conditions turned harsh and many guides were taking their clients home GK and his team were able to carefully plan and time a safe passage for us to cross the Larkya La Pass. Helping other teams cross the pass aswell. A special thank you to the Porters. Utam and Deb, without their incredible efforts our trip would not be possible. Amazing Mardi Himal Trek Experience
I did the Mardi Himal Trek in November with a friend through Radiant Treks, and the whole experience went very smoothly. They were quick to respond to our messages and answered all our questions clearly. The price for the full 5-day Pokhara to Pokhara trek was fair, and everything was arranged well from start to finish. Our guide Arjun and porter Ram were a big part of what made the trek so enjoyable. Arjun was friendly, patient, and always checked that we were doing well on the trail. Ram was strong, reliable, and always ready to help. Since November is a busy season, they made sure all our accommodations were booked ahead of time and chose the best available places to stay each night. Manaslu Circuit Trek Review
Radiant Treks was very fast to respond to my initial enquiries, and the price was the best I could find. Leading up to the trip all of the questions I had were answered within the day in full detail leaving nothing questioned when arriving in Nepal. GK made the trek enjoyable and explained nepalise and Tibet culture within the mountains. GK made numerous phone calls throughout the trip to guest houses to preorder food and rooms so we were always catered to and never felt like we were missing anything. We booked our Manaslu circuit trek during the off season, and towards one of our last stops of the trek GK was informed that the pass was closed and we were possibly not able to cross. Obviously we were disappointed but there’s not much we can do about the weather. GK still made several enquiries with all parties along the pass and figured out a plan to get us to complete the trek. He turned the impossible situation into one that let us finish the trek. After the trek GK still helped us explore Nepal and organised flights, hotels and food throughout the rest of our trip. Radiant Treks and Tours planned an adventurous trek on the Manaslu Circuit. From picking up at airport through the trip and transportation back to the airport. Provided warm sleeping bags and puffer jackets. Best places selected for delicious food to fuel up on. Our guide Goku guided us safely through unexpected conditions always ensuring we were able to keep pace and that we were ok. We enjoyed getting to know about the areas, views, people, culture and enjoyed the laughter at end of each day of our journey. Goku was caring, considerate, friendly and knowledgeable. Questions You May Have Before Trekking Manaslu

Can beginners do the Manaslu Circuit Trek?

Yes. Fit beginners can complete it with proper preparation, acclimatization, and an experienced guide. Previous high-altitude trekking experience is helpful but not essential.

Will I get altitude sickness?

Altitude sickness is possible because the trek reaches 5,106 m at Larkya La Pass. A gradual itinerary, acclimatization, hydration, and monitoring by your guide help reduce the risk.

How cold does it get?

Temperatures depend on the season and altitude. At higher elevations, nights can fall below freezing, especially around Samdo, Dharamsala, and Larkya La.

Can I charge my phone and camera?

Yes. Charging is available at most teahouses, although an additional fee is common. A power bank is recommended.

How much cash should I carry?

Around NPR 20,000–30,000 (USD 250 equivalent) for personal expenses is generally practical. Carry Nepalese rupees because ATMs are not reliably available along the trail.

Can I shower during the trek?

Yes. Hot showers are available at many teahouses for an additional charge, although facilities become more basic at higher elevations.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Wi-Fi or mobile internet is available in some villages, but the connection can be slow or unavailable at higher elevations.

What permits do I need?

You need the Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (RAP), Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP), Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and Chum Nubri Rural Municipality local permit.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. Your policy should specifically cover high-altitude trekking and emergency helicopter evacuation up to the maximum altitude of your itinerary.

What is the guide-to-trekker ratio?

Our guide-to-trekker ratio is 1:5. One guide leads up to 5 trekkers. For groups of more than 5 trekkers, we add an assistant guide to provide additional support and attention throughout the trek.

Do I need a guide for the Manaslu Circuit?

Yes. Manaslu is a restricted trekking region, and independent trekking is not permitted. The required permits must be arranged through an authorized trekking agency.

How difficult is the Manaslu Circuit Trek?

It is a challenging high-altitude trek involving long walking days, steep terrain, and the 5,106 m Larkya La Pass. Good fitness and preparation are important.

What is the best time for the Manaslu Circuit Trek?

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) generally offer the best combination of trail conditions, mountain views, and weather.

What accommodation is available?

You stay in local mountain teahouses. Rooms are generally simple twin-sharing rooms with basic facilities.

What food is available during the trek?

Teahouses serve meals such as dal bhat, noodles, soups, fried rice, potatoes, pasta, eggs, and other simple dishes.

Can I trek Manaslu alone?

You can travel as a solo guest, but you cannot trek the restricted Manaslu route independently. Permit and guide requirements apply.

Are there toilets along the trek?

Yes. Teahouses have toilets, although facilities become increasingly basic as you reach remote and higher-altitude villages.

Do I need to carry my own luggage?

You can carry your daypack while a porter carries your main trekking luggage when porter service is included in your package.

What happens in an emergency?

Your guide assesses the situation and coordinates appropriate assistance. Depending on the circumstances, this may involve descending, changing the itinerary, or arranging emergency evacuation.
